Made this for my daughter. I thought it was a way to display some of my button stash, instead of leaving them in a closed box.

Elephant Stuffy Toy

This is an elephant stuffy toy that I made from a flat drawing of an elephant.  It is small about 3-1/2" tall and about 5" long.  I am pleased with how it turned out.

Made another cute little elephant.

This is a pattern from Melly and Me.  This is the cutest little stuffed dog.  I had this spotted fabric in my stash, and added buttons instead of making felt eyes.   I have a thing for buttons...see my monogram letter C and heart made from buttons I did for my daughter who moved off to college this past fall.  I will try to get a better picture.

Button Monogram

Made this for my daughter.  I used the computer and printed out the letter.  I made it to fit on an 11x8-1/2 sheet of paper.   Cut out and traced the outline onto cotton fabric using chalk.  There are approximately 104 buttons, which are all hand stitched using DMC thread.  Then stretched it onto a 12 x 12 canvas and stapled it on the back side.  The ribbon is also stapled to the back in each corner.  The hanging ribbon was also stapled in place.  

Wonder what else I can use the handy staple gun for.  :-)

I didn't get this done by the time school started, and it wasn't ready for Christmas.  I did get the top all pieced  together, and like the way it went together which is different from what the pattern directed. Should have added that this is a kit from Oklahoma Quiltworks, and the embroidered squares came prestitched with the kit and also included the fabric and pattern for piecing this together.  

Another work in progress... Hope to be done with this by the time Caity goes to college in the fall.
